Projects Overview

SADC Recycling and Waste-to-Value Programme

The SADC Recycling and Waste-to-Value Programme is an active, phased initiative aimed at enhancing scalable recycling capacity across Botswana, Namibia, and South Africa. This recycling programme is designed to bolster responsible waste management, mitigate environmental impact, and foster industrial development by converting waste streams into valuable products and materials.

Initially, the implementation focuses on end-of-life tyres, with plans to expand into broader municipal waste streams over time, aligning with sustainable energy projects. As an owner-developer, Afri Touch Energy drives the development pathway from start to finish, coordinating with specialist partners to ensure safe, compliant, and sustainable operations, much like those seen in the healthcare infrastructure and oil refinery project sectors.

Gaborone Hospital Development – Botswana

The Gaborone Hospital Development is an active healthcare infrastructure project in Gaborone, aimed at improving access to quality medical services and supporting modern, patient‑centred care. This development approach prioritises safe clinical environments, efficient patient flow, and operational resilience, designed to support long‑term service delivery. As part of a broader strategy that includes energy projects and sustainable practices, the initiative also aligns with effective waste management and recycling programmes to enhance community health. Afri Touch Energy acts as an owner‑developer, coordinating specialist inputs and strategic stakeholder engagement to ensure the project advances responsibly and is positioned for sustainable operations, much like an oil refinery project designed for long-term viability.

Walvis Bay Oil Refinery Project – Namibia

The Walvis Bay Oil Refinery Project is an active downstream energy development initiative in Namibia, focused on strengthening regional fuel supply resilience and supporting broader industrial development. This oil refinery project is advanced with disciplined governance and a strong emphasis on safety, compliance, and responsible development practices, which are crucial for successful energy projects in the region.

As an owner-developer, Afri Touch Energy leads the development pathway in collaboration with relevant stakeholders and specialist partners, with the intent to deliver a robust operating asset that aligns with regional energy priorities while also considering the importance of healthcare infrastructure, a recycling programme, and effective waste management.
